Children's Center Attendant (Downtown Belleville/OFallon)

GENERAL FUNCTION: Children’s Center Attendant is responsible to plan activities/experiences and supervise a group of school-age children and using developmentally appropriate practices.  To direct activities which ensure the individual needs of each child are met with dignity and respect.  All safety procedures are followed according to YMCA policies and procedures.  To model, practice and carry out the Y values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility in all aspects of job performance and in their relationships with others and to exemplify the Membership by Design principles in all areas of the job performance. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least sixteen years of age and have experience working with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children, pass child abuse and police record screening, CPR and 1st Aid (can be completed within 30 days of hire).

Group Fitness Instructors (Cahokia Area YMCA)

Knowledge of group fitness techniques with previous experience in taking or teaching aerobic classes is necessary. Must have ability and patience to instruct classes and use sound judgment and decision making skills to handle problem solving and interpersonal skills to deal with all members. Part-time. Life Adventures Program Specialists (Life Adventures Program)

The YMCA of Southwest Illinois seeks motivated individuals to assist with challenge based activities and programs. Help teach participants leadership and team skills working through a team challenge course, portable climbing wall, and high ropes course. Training is provided. Excellent part-time opportunity for outdoor oriented individuals who want to make a difference. Min. age is 21; flexible hours. Required certifications and training provided with one-year commitment. Up to $12.50/hr.
